Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Fernando Vinhas made the kick off which started today's match. If Ruy Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 5th minute of play forced Werneck FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Rafael Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Zézinho Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 8th minute of the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. 13 minutes into the match, Werneck FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Rafael Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafael Loyola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Loyola having to interfere. In the 26th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caio Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Rafael Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 minutes, Zé Paulo Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Werneck FC - DMZ and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. 34 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Werneck FC - DMZ's Rafael Loyola. Rafael Loyola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rafael Loyola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caio Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafael Loyola was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 55th minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Rafael Loyola. Werneck FC - DMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. In the 60th minute, Joel Gaona fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafael Loyola. Rafael Loyola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Rafael Loyola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Loyola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Rafael Loyola made a huge save. Rafael Loyola was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Joel Gaona capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joel Gaona really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
