Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save El Salvador from getting a goal against them. The throw-in from Lucian Drăgan in the 12th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by El Salvador's Luis Rubio. In the 21st minute, Moises Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Lucian Drăgan in the 22nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by El Salvador's Marco Tamayo. The supporters of Real Suciedad booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Leguizamo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Roberto Cabañas took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ricardo Zorita to make any attempt to save it. In the 47th minute, Moises Fernandino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amadeo Tristan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Abram Luque managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Salvador's supporters rose to their feet, but Abram Luque was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cyryl Skonieczny breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Moises Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abram Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Lucian Drăgan kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Elazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Real Suciedad getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Evelio Enetz hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, El Salvador's Mateo Leguizamo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Marco Tamayo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Real Suciedad fans cheered their team off the field, for while El Salvador had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
