Monitor Huáscar's Apostol Sokolov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Monitor Huáscar from getting a goal against them. Bartolo Basualdo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Apostol Sokolov made a huge save. After 25 minutes of play, Monitor Huáscar's Claudio Quiroga made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hermann Hesse was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Monitor Huáscar getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Modestio Cañucal hit a great ball. After 32 played minutes Deportivo Popolizio FBC got a freekick which was hit by Cleto Trasagua. 34 minutes into the game, Monitor Huáscar's Claudio Quiroga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hermann Hesse made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 38 played minutes Deportivo Popolizio FBC got a freekick which was hit by Nils Gielis. Artemio Varas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Monitor Huáscar's goalkeeper Apostol Sokolov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bartolo Basualdo. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Cleto Trasagua got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Bartolo Basualdo made the kick off in the second half. If Bartolo Basualdo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudio Quiroga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Hermann Hesse made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Monitor Huáscar's zone, Bartolo Basualdo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apostol Sokolov came out of the goal and Bartolo Basualdo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Monitor Huáscar's Lin Jing Peng was substituted for Artemio Varas. Monitor Huáscar's Nazario Victorica was substituted for Nazario Arechavala. Deportivo Popolizio FBC made a substitution. Inge Izana replaced Nils Gielis. Deportivo Popolizio FBC made a substitution. Joao Montanez replaced Gaizkine Ibern. Apostol Sokolov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erruki Velarroa, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Monitor Huáscar's goal looked a bit too open when Erruki Velarroa came free, but Apostol Sokolov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Apostol Sokolov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erruki Velarroa in the 74th minute of play. Claudio Quiroga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hermann Hesse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Apostol Sokolov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erruki Velarroa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Apostol Sokolov came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Erruki Velarroa. But to his dismay, Erruki Velarroa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 91 minutes into the match, Monitor Huáscar's goal looked a bit too open when Inge Izana came free, but Apostol Sokolov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Monitor Huáscar's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
