Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sultan-Mehmet De Paula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fan Qi Bin got free with Julio Vera in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Pancha Futbol Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sultan-Mehmet De Paula got free with Julio Vera in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilbert Cieliczka. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Gilbert Cieliczka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gilbert Cieliczka was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Fan Qi Bin sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Gilbert Cieliczka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Fan Qi Bin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilbert Cieliczka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Fan Qi Bin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 48 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Anthon Mellbad came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anthon Mellbad was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Pancha Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigio Tancredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Gilbert Cieliczka made a huge save. In the 70th match minute, Pancha Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sultan-Mehmet De Paula to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Gilbert Cieliczka managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximo Gartzi in the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute of the match Pancha Futbol Club got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Primitivo Godoy ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 93 played minutes Pancha Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Pio. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Pancha Futbol Club had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
