Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Karaboudjan's goalkeeper Marcelinho Abraão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Karaboudjan's Rafael Godoi got a free kick in the 6th minute. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Camilo Gaos's late challenge caught a Karaboudjan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Gaos helped the player get up and apologised. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 19 minutes, Rigoberto Mina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Karaboudjan players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Karaboudjan booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute Felippe Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rigoberto Mina was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 22 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aírton Oliveira got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelinho Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joshua Secada in the 43rd minute of play. 48 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karaboudjan the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernandinho Albuquerque to strike the kick off in the second half. Kléberson Gomes got a throw-in 53 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Aírton Oliveira. Kléberson Gomes made in the 59th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Aírton Oliveira immediately put the ball in play. 61 minutes into the game, Renato Pitta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Karaboudjan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. In the 61st minute, Renato Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kléberson Gomes got a throw-in 64 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Wilson Bezerra. In the 70th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a Karaboudjan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Correa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Karaboudjan booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho Albuquerque, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Venezuela's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
