But to his dismay, Thiago Hudson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 18th minute, Thiago Hudson made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Rômulo Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 22nd minute of the match. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mukifus FSCMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Luz Tejedor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rômulo Neiva quite easily take care of the ball. Thiago Hudson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Eliseo Mina hit a great ball. The Peru players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mukifus FSCMZ were winning 0-3.

Gösta Lindell was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 57 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 60th minute of play forced Mukifus FSCMZ's goalkeeper Rômulo Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mukifus FSCMZ made a substitution. Jozef Botto replaced Thiago Hudson.
