In the 10th minute, Alberto Tafalla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remie Kint was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by C.S.D Punta Ballena's Boguslaw Dziedelonis. But to his dismay, Boguslaw Dziedelonis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The supporters of C.S.D Punta Ballena booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Macos Graciani didn't get a good kick on the ball. C.S.D Punta Ballena's Remie Kint played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 29th minute of play. When Boguslaw Dziedelonis came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the C.S.D Punta Ballena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boguslaw Dziedelonis couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd match minute, C.S.D Punta Ballena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliciano Fito to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Remie Kint made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 35th minute of play forced C.S.D Punta Ballena's goalkeeper Remie Kint to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvino Blanco struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.S.D Punta Ballena. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.S.D Punta Ballena's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

53 minutes into the game, Macos Graciani threw the ball into play from the sideline. C.S.D Punta Ballena's Diego Godin quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Boguslaw Dziedelonis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Boguslaw Dziedelonis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. In the 58th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remie Kint saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remie Kint made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 60th minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remie Kint made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. C.S.D Punta Ballena's Jorre Van De Beeck was substituted for Feliciano Fito. C.S.D Punta Ballena made a substitution. Terciero Francos replaced Boguslaw Dziedelonis. In the 67th minute, Terciero Francos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dante Lacasa, passed just outside the right post. C.S.D Punta Ballena's Manolo Agriano was substituted for Franz Hyld. Remie Kint showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 73rd match minute, C.S.D Punta Ballena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brion Heyros to maneuver through the defense. Remie Kint took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terciero Francos, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After 94 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Rouco. After recieving a nice pass, C.S.D Punta Ballena's Brion Heyros tried to score from far away in the 94th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
