The crowd rose to their feet as Chile's Mariano Lacasa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alberto Clusella. That made the score 4-0 after 20 minutes of play. Lavalle Cardiel hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alberto Clusella made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Mariano Lacasas short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Alberto Clusella to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Chile's Mariano Lacasa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Lavalle Cardiel, made in the 35th minute of the game. After 36th play minutes Mariano Lacasa shot 7-0, a short shot which went by Alberto Clusella and just under the crossbar into goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 9-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chile's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
