SPEGACHO FC's Hugo Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 13th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugo Gatti having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 17th minute of play forced SPEGACHO FC's goalkeeper Hugo Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Facundo Cadaval hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Hugo Gatti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. In the 33rd minute of the match SPEGACHO FC got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Secondo Imperiale ran over to the corner to take the kick. Babu Bronco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. In the 36th match minute, SPEGACHO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Davids to maneuver through the defense. SPEGACHO FC's Hugo Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 39th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Secondo Imperiale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Secondo Imperiale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

In the 54th minute Babu Bronco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo Gatti was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Joel Gaona capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joel Gaona really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. SPEGACHO FC's Isaac Montrel was substituted for Pedro Mero. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Hugo Gatti in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
