Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Velasco Rollan in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sociedad Anónima's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Niva Bruna in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Velasco Rollan in the 9th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gianluigi Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arturo Carvallo during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arturo Carvallo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, Velasco Rollan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Velasco Rollan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 31st minute, Arturo Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Velasco Rollan scored 0-4 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Velasco Rollan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Marino Malet got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joaquin Gayoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Velasco Rollan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Velasco Rollan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Velasco Rollan really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Joaquin Gayoso stood somewhat misplaced when Velasco Rollan came free in front of goal and shot 0-6 to the left of him in the 59 minute. Sociedad Anónima's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Niva Bruna in the 64th minute. Camilo Franco's late challenge caught a Sociedad Anónima's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Franco helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Uruguay fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Sociedad Anónima's Niva Bruna. But to his dismay, Niva Bruna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Sociedad Anónima made a substitution. Felix Larren replaced Marino Malet. Sociedad Anónima's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Niva Bruna in the 78th minute. Felix Larren received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joaquin Gayoso came out and tried to block the shot, but Felix Larren slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 80th minute. 84 minutes into the game, Tulio Bringas threw the ball into play from the sideline. Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Arturo Carvallo hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Velasco Rollan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Sociedad Anónima's Velasco Rollan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo got a free kick in the 94th minute. Uruguay's goalie Joaquin Gayoso was quick on his feet when Felix Larren aimed and made a shot towards the top left corner. The goalie picked down the ball without great difficulties. After 97 minutes Uruguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Niva Bruna who took care of the corner kick. The Sociedad Anónima supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sociedad Anónima would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
