Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Axel Tasis got the match started through his kick off. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betão Marinho in the 8th minute of play. Betão Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Téo Fonseca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Tasis went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão Marinho in the 20th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Moruga during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Betão Marinho struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quebra Ossos FC. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betão Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Axel Tasis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lautaro Puig during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 37th minute. The supporters of Quebra Ossos FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Betão Marinho was the one to do the kick off. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Téo Fonseca having to interfere. Gugu Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Betão Marinho took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aírton Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Gugu Saldanha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osmar Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 72nd minute, Osmar Eger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Téo Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Axel Tasis's late challenge caught a Quebra Ossos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Axel Tasis helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Quebra Ossos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Telmo Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Many of Quebra Ossos FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Quebra Ossos FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Costa Rica were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
