In the 80th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Piedra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Gerónimo Molina sent off a good shot on target. When USA's Monty Rogers, in the 94th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for USA. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. USA were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
