Canada's Jax Williamson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Gustavo do Valle in the 12th minute of play. Amerigo Muzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Dixon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Dixon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amerigo Muzi having to interfere. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Amanda Zigiotti managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Nate Mills in the 19 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Dixon in the 21st minute of play forced Floripa Lions FSCMZ's goalkeeper Amerigo Muzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Dixon in the 24th minute of play forced Floripa Lions FSCMZ's goalkeeper Amerigo Muzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amerigo Muzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Dixon in the 24th minute of play. Luiz Gustavo do Valle took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jax Williamson. Jax Williamson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 29th minute Carter George shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amerigo Muzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Dixon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jax Williamson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo do Valle in the 33rd minute of play. Amerigo Muzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carter George, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Amanda Zigiotti in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Canada's Eric Hill. Amerigo Muzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Dixon in the 45th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Koby Wright made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Koby Wright in the 51st minute of play forced Floripa Lions FSCMZ's goalkeeper Amerigo Muzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Canada's zone, Luiz Gustavo do Valle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jax Williamson came out of the goal and Luiz Gustavo do Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amerigo Muzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Mccarthy, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. With an all-out effort, Canada's Amerigo Muzi threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Koby Wright, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 59th minute Koby Wright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amerigo Muzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Canada's Jan Dixon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Canada's Filip Edwards was substituted for Koby Wright. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Gilberto Sousa was substituted for Aloísio Castro. Floripa Lions FSCMZ made a substitution. Hortêncio Montenegro replaced Luiz Gustavo do Valle. Canada were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Floripa Lions FSCMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jan Dixon took the corner. Jax Williamson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Sousa in the 77th minute of the match. Jax Williamson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Montenegro in the 79th minute of play. Amerigo Muzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theo Burton in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Canada's goal looked a bit too open when Hortêncio Montenegro came free, but Jax Williamson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd play minute Theo Burton came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Amerigo Muzi. 2-3. Filip Edwards could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Amerigo Muzi made a huge save. In the 92nd minute Filip Edwards shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amerigo Muzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Canada's Jax Williamson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Montenegro in the 93rd minute of play. The Floripa Lions FSCMZ supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Canada's performance. The match ended with a win for Canada.
