To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 43 played minutes CSD Pte Derqui got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Urbasa. Vladimiro Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Sebastián Puig in the 44th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vladimiro Leão prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 73rd minute CSD Pte Derqui were awarded a corner. Rigoberto Azevedo went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Mario Lawrence got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 73 minutes into the game, Mario Lawrence cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. CSD Pte Derqui's Mao Yuan Hong was substituted for Isaias Leobardo. 77 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Mao Yuan Hong came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to CSD Pte Derqui getting a freekick after 79 minutes play.
