Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fabio Lando started the match with the kick off. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Atilano Hernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 5 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Fabio Lando in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 10th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Atilano Hernandez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 14th minute Fabio Lando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Fidel Arce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Atilano Hernandez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Fabio Lando took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Atilano Hernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the La Gallardeta defense, Patricio Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Atilano Hernandez. The La Gallardeta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Atilano Hernandez should have stopped the shot. After 44 minutes, Camilo Gaos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the La Gallardeta players grew even worse after the yellow card. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Fidel Arce took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Atilano Hernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Illescas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Atilano Hernandez. That made the score 1-4 in the 56 minute of play. In the 59th minute, Venezuela's Patricio Costa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Nestor Rius hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atilano Hernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th match minute, La Gallardeta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Prejun to maneuver through the defense. After 71 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. Fabio Lando scored 2-5 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Patricio Costa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 78th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Lando in the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's Fabio Lando sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joshua Secada didn't quite understand what happened when in the 86 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After having played for 91 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Tomas Illescas put it in 2-6 from a short distance just to the right of Atilano Hernandez.
