Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. João Paulo Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 4 minutes into the match, Família Ressaca MZ's Natalio Centenales sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 7 minutes into the match, Família Ressaca MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but João Paulo Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Família Ressaca MZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ronaldinho do Vale in the 16th minute. After taking down the ball on Família Ressaca MZ's corner Ronaldinho do Vale fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Vasco Arruabarrena hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Randy Doty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Família Ressaca MZ getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Natalio Centenales hit a great ball. Feng Yang hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After 25 minutes, Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Família Ressaca MZ's João Paulo Silva tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the match, Natalio Centenales had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Natalio Centenales was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Paulo Silva was left in no man's land by his defense there! A sloppy throw-in by Camilo Gisbert in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Família Ressaca MZ's Xavier Laureys. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Centenales in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th match minute, Família Ressaca MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tanek Podolski to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Natalio Centenales to make the kick off. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Natalio Centenales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 57 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ronaldinho do Vale who took care of the corner kick. João Paulo Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 59th minute of the match. Felix Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of João Paulo Silva when he managed to save the team from getting behind. João Paulo Silva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 70th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Centenales in the 72nd minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Natalio Centenales notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Natalio Centenales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Família Ressaca MZ had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
