The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Natanael Mello hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Amílton Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Tasso in the 20th minute of play. Natanael Mello struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nunes FC. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Salvador Gisbert hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Karl-Oskar Åkerberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nunes FC's goalkeeper Amílton Bezerra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedro Tasso struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nunes FC. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Nunes FC's Pedro Tasso dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karl-Oskar Åkerberg was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Nunes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josepho Angelsø didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Oskar Åkerberg came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Karl-Oskar Åkerberg came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Nunes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Oskar Åkerberg couldn't finish the play. Amílton Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 64th minute of play. Amílton Bezerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amílton Bezerra having to make a save. After 78 minutes, Patricio Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Nunes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Oskar Åkerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Tasso in the 87th minute of play. If Pedro Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nunes FC's goalkeeper Amílton Bezerra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedro Tasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that Nunes FC were the better team. Nunes FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
