Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Horacio Bihar kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Kjell Alsvik got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjell Alsvik in the 24th minute of play. A hard shot 26 in the game by Kjell Alsvik from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Haimar got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 28 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rafael Haimar who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timos Karabelas in the 31st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of La Gallardeta booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Haimar might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafael Haimar ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rafael Haimar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 40 minute of play. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kjell Alsvik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kjell Alsvik in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kjell Alsvik stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Haimar came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of La Gallardeta booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Haimar in the 58th minute of play. Timos Karabelas might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Timos Karabelas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 63rd minute, Timos Karabelas made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The supporters of Venezuela booed when La Gallardeta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjell Alsvik didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Měchura in the 73rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Gonchan struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Gallardeta. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Měchura in the 77th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filip Měchura struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Gallardeta. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filip Měchura in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. La Gallardeta fully deserved thier win.
