Marco Day didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricardo Bochini went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo Bochini got free with Marco Day in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Ricardo Bochini sent off a good shot on target. 14 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Bochini came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute Franz Grassme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aldo Mannie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 19th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Ripa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Aldo Mannie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Mannie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cassius Byrne in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aldo Mannie saved Ripa FC from getting behind. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. Aldo Mannie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 27th minute of play. Ripa FC's Aldo Mannie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 33rd minute of play. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gu Chang Peng in the 46th minute of the match. Ripa FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Placido Pero in the 47th minute. The corner ended in Smith Wigglesworth almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but USA's Marco Day did a great save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Ripa FC's Aldo Mannie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Jacob May ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aldo Mannie was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. With a little luck, Ripa FC's Aldo Mannie got control of the ball when Cassius Byrne tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as USA's Monty Rogers slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aldo Mannie. That made the score 1-3 after 60 minutes of play. Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Aldo Mannie made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with Aldo Mannie in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aldo Mannie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The corner led to Ripa FC's Magnus Löfdahl getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Ripa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Aldo Mannie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Campbell in the 78th minute of play forced Ripa FC's goalkeeper Aldo Mannie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the USA defense, Gu Chang Peng kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Day. The USA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Day should have stopped the shot. Gu Chang Peng might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Day. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gu Chang Peng ran back to his position shaking his head. Khalid Parry might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aldo Mannie. Gu Chang Peng scored 3-3 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Day, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Baker got free with Aldo Mannie in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aldo Mannie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Khalid Parry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
