After having played for 3 minutes, Dagoberto Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trindade Atlético Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dagoberto Dracena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 4 minutes into the game, Ryan Hita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tiaguinho Correia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 9 minutes into the match, Trindade Atlético Club's goal looked a bit too open when Charro Dieguez came free, but Tiaguinho Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cresconio Salvado charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cresconio Salvado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Ya Perdimos F.C.'s Cresconio Salvado got a free kick in the 10th minute. Paulo Duarte came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Trindade Atlético Club's Dagoberto Dracena. But to his dismay, Dagoberto Dracena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Tiaguinho Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryan Hita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Trindade Atlético Club getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Dagoberto Dracena hit a great ball. The supporters of Trindade Atlético Club booed when Ya Perdimos F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garin Lerma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dagoberto Dracena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute Faron Castrejana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiaguinho Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fulgencio Rius could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Paulo Duarte made a huge save. After 28 played minutes Trindade Atlético Club's Samuca de Sena stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Paulo Duarte stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Ya Perdimos F.C. of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Valentin Blomkvist put in a rough tackle. Trindade Atlético Club's Maurinho Dias was substituted for Dagoberto Dracena. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dragoş Vâtcu to make the kick off. Ryan Hita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Tiaguinho Correia made a huge save. Tiaguinho Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charro Dieguez, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Ya Perdimos F.C.'s José Saramago was substituted for Faron Castrejana. Paulo Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dragoş Vâtcu in the 70th minute of the match. When Dragoş Vâtcu came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Trindade Atlético Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dragoş Vâtcu couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ryan Hita got free with Tiaguinho Correia in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiaguinho Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charro Dieguez in the 74th minute of play. The supporters of Ya Perdimos F.C. booed when Trindade Atlético Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurinho Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ya Perdimos F.C.'s Paulo Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fulgencio Rius in the 85th minute of play. Tiaguinho Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charro Dieguez, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute Charro Dieguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiaguinho Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Trindade Atlético Club reached it. The Ya Perdimos F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ya Perdimos F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
