Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Fecha Libre's Martins Palermo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peru's Alonso Berganza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Qi Ning Sha, made in the 8th minute of the game. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 10th minute. A nice corner shot did that Joaquin Prats got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Emiliano Martínez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 18th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Fecha Libre's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. 22 minutes into the match, Martins Palermo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martins Palermo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 25th minute, Martins Palermo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Alonso Berganza in the 28th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Fecha Libre's Rodolfo Manni. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 31 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Mina. Rolando Noboa acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 32nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gavino Hodei. Martins Palermo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Kandemir Ülkü was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 48th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Emiliano Martínez. Fecha Libre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Qi Ning Sha in the 54th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. In the 58th minute, Eliseo Mina fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Yu Tian Yan made in the 60th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. With an all-out effort, Peru's Emiliano Martínez threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eliseo Mina, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 70th minute Eliseo Mina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Fecha Libre getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Qi Ning Sha hit a great ball. In the 73rd match minute, Fecha Libre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Qi Ning Sha to maneuver through the defense. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igli Tare in the 75th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kandemir Ülkü in the 84th minute of the match. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Emiliano Martínez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Gallo in the 91st minute of play. A collision led to Fecha Libre getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Rodolfo Manni hit a great ball. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igli Tare in the 96th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
