Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Kasper Hermansson came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute, The Alliance's Kasper Hermansson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 9th minute, Valter Rosin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Erik Högberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 17 minutes Costa Rica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Baran Bilge Ulusoy who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Andreas Bure heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Georg Frisk fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Alliance's protests and gave Georg Frisk a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th minute, Georg Frisk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 28 played minutes The Alliance got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Erik Högberg. Axel Tasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert Offendahl having to interfere. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Sven-Erik Högberg scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 2-0. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Erik Högberg in the 40th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Erik Högberg came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baran Bilge Ulusoy in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 43rd minute. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Sven-Erik Högberg took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sven-Erik Högberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Moruga during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Alliance's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Axel Tasis was slow to take the kick. During this time Costa Rica's players had a chance to rest. 59 minutes into the match, Sven-Erik Högberg notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baran Bilge Ulusoy in the 62nd minute of play. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Axel Tasis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Evert Offendahl, 4-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Baran Bilge Ulusoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Alliance's supporters rose to their feet, but Baran Bilge Ulusoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th minute, Urban Galvan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Alliance fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Evert Offendahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After having played for 92 minutes, Urban Galvan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Alliance's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urban Galvan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Östen Högberg's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Östen Högberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, Östen Högberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Alliance walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
