After a rather tough play, Resistencia Tayrona FC's Ingmar Kracke got a free kick in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Resistencia Tayrona FC's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanislav Dvorskiy came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stanislav Dvorskiy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 53rd minute of the match. Resistencia Tayrona FC's Victorino Bonifaco got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stanislav Dvorskiy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mihnea Vasilian charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorino Bonifaco couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute Taurino Hernaiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
