Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 32nd minute of play forced Tinganes Bóltfelag's goalkeeper Ingi Castilho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tinganes Bóltfelag's Ingi Castilho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 34th minute of play. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Tinganes Bóltfelag's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The Tinganes Bóltfelag players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-1.

Poul Enok Kwieciński fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. With a little luck, Tinganes Bóltfelag's Ingi Castilho got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ingi Castilho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 61st minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Poul Enok Kwieciński, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Poul Enok Kwieciński's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mexico eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
