Rogelio Funes Mori blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. In the 19th minute, Rejunte de perros's Ivan Errolan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Jorge Sainz's late challenge caught a Rejunte de perros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Sainz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rejunte de perros booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Sainz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogelio Funes Mori. Marcelo Armani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Rogelio Funes Mori reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. The goal made the score 4-0. Serge Grandidier had several of the Uruguay's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 32 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 5-0 score and a disappointed Joaquin Gayoso as he didn't even see the shot coming. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Funes Mori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Errolan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joaquin Gayoso came out and tried to block the shot, but Ivan Errolan slotted it home off the left post making it 7-0 in the 43rd minute.
