When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Imbituba - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Sidney Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 54th minute of play forced Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Sidney Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathaniel Burnett in the 74th minute of the match. Nathaniel Burnett took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Válbson Pimenta was substituted for Berenguer Anda. In the 82nd minute Válbson Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Válbson Pimenta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Imbituba - FSCMZ made a substitution. Ademar de Mendonça replaced Armandinho Loyola. Mariano Lacasa came free with the goalkeeper in the 86th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sidney Motta could save by the left post. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válbson Pimenta in the 87th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Válbson Pimenta sped through Chile's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Válbson Pimenta's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Chile's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
