After 2 played minutes Talento Futebol clube got a freekick which was hit by Gualter Proença. José Maria Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Per-Arne Delin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. José Maria Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Maria Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Talento Futebol clube defense, Agustín Saelices kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Maria Souza. The Talento Futebol clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Maria Souza should have stopped the shot. In the 25th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of José Maria Souza. Talento Futebol clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Maria Souza having to interfere. Gualter Proença charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gualter Proença the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th minute, Gualter Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Maria Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Velasco came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Talento Futebol clube getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Gabriel Hoffmann hit a great ball. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Tadeu Bastos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Per-Arne Delin was the one to do the kick off. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mito Mesías during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mito Mesías kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. José Maria Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Talento Futebol clube's José Maria Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 84th minute of play. José Maria Souza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Talento Futebol clube's goalkeeper José Maria Souza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Talento Futebol clube.
