A sloppy throw-in by Vítor Marinho in the 32nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. After a defensive mix-up in Bizard FC's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ademar Fernandes came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ademar Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 37th minute of the match. Luiz Fabiano Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. After 40 minutes of play, Bizard FC's Luiz Fabiano Sena made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 44th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademar Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peru's Alonso Berganza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luisinho Tasso, made in the 86th minute of the game. 91 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Costa came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Rafael Gallo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 97th minute of the match, Rafael Gallo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ademar Fernandes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
