Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimond Lenk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Constantino Idacio got free with Julio Vera in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 23 minutes, Constantino Idacio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piratas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantino Idacio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 27 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raimond Lenk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Raimond Lenk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The throw-in from Camilo Gisbert in the 43rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Piratas FC's Amadeo Francesco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 45th minute of play forced Piratas FC's goalkeeper Raimond Lenk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th match minute, Piratas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantino Idacio to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Constantino Idacio made a kick off. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Raimond Lenk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kryspin Degutis during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 67 played minutes Piratas FC got a freekick which was hit by Kryspin Degutis. During the 69th minute of the match Kryspin Degutis completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kryspin Degutis a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Hernandez in the 72nd minute of play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Constantino Idacio in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Raimond Lenk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 82nd minute of play. Spyros Zacharioudakis took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 94th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
