Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. Esteban Iztal charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Esteban Iztal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Piratas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Iztal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteban Iztal made in the 9th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Alex Chicote. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raimond Lenk having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Constantino Idacio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Constantino Idacio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimond Lenk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Idacio in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Nunez Hernandez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 1-1. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Raimond Lenk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimond Lenk saved Piratas FC from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Constantino Idacio made a kick off. Piratas FC's Nunez Hernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Raimond Lenk made a huge save. In the 58th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Piratas FC's Raimond Lenk got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nunez Hernandez in the 69th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Chicote during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Raimond Lenk made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. After 80 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. Raimond Lenk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 82nd minute. Constantino Idacio scored 3-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 90 minutes into the game, Alex Chicote threw the ball into play from the sideline. Piratas FC's Amadeo Francesco quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Constantino Idacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play.
