The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. After 91 minutes, Hüseyin Turan Elçibey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Cristal and the Chile players grew even worse after the yellow card.
