In the 55th match minute, Deportivo Diamante U18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Rafel to maneuver through the defense. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Gregorio Fagildo made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Deportivo Diamante U18's Gregorio Fagildo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Diamante U18 from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Milito in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, Deportivo Diamante U18's goalkeeper Gregorio Fagildo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. 82 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Milito came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deportivo Diamante U18's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lino Igon in the 84th minute. Deportivo Diamante U18's Victor Valiente was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience was convinced that Victor Valiente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Valiente in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laureano Mitxaut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristian Sancho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
