Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Illescas kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Diamante U18's Lucio Diegotxe got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After 10 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. In the 11th minute of the match Lino Igon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 13 minutes in the game Lucio Diegotxe did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Froilan Montel. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Diego Milito sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Deportivo Diamante U18 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deportivo Diamante U18's Laureano Mitxaut got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Deportivo Diamante U18's Diego Milito in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A collision led to Deportivo Diamante U18 getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Amador Rafel hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Amador Rafel fired away a sharp free kick straight at the goal. It looked like it might be really tough for the goalie to handle, but the shot went into the stands to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Conrado Maiorga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Conrado Maiorga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Milito in the 40th minute of play. Victor Valiente received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Victor Valiente slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
51 minutes into the game, Deportivo Diamante U18's Conrado Maiorga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Milito went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Maiorga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amador Rafel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Amador Rafel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. When Diego Milito came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Deportivo Diamante U18 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Milito couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 74th minute of play forced Deportivo Diamante U18's goalkeeper Gregorio Fagildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Deportivo Diamante U18 getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Laureano Mitxaut hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the game, Deportivo Diamante U18's Conrado Maiorga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
