Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danilo Zárate in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Baez FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Moises Gayoso drilling the ball in to score 0-1 behind Baez FC's goalkeeper. In the 15th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Jesus Carvallo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Qi Qing hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Horacio Jesus Carvallo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 17th minute of play. Horacio Jesus Carvallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 18th minute of the match. Alonso Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 23rd minute of the match Baez FC got a corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 28th minute of play forced Baez FC's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Carvallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Baez FC's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Carvallo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 37th minute of play forced Baez FC's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Carvallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Peru's Eliseo Mina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Horacio Jesus Carvallo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Baez FC's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Carvallo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horacio Jesus Carvallo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Horacio Jesus Carvallo in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thalis Papazisis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baez FC's Horacio Jesus Carvallo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Baez FC from getting a goal against them. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thalis Papazisis, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Horacio Jesus Carvallo in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 67 minutes into the game, Danilo Zárate cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 70 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Horacio Jesus Carvallo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 74th minute Thalis Papazisis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Peru's Luz Tejedor slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Horacio Jesus Carvallo. That made the score 1-5 after 77 minutes of play. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horacio Jesus Carvallo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. A sloppy throw-in by Frank De Jong in the 84th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Horacio Jesus Carvallo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Gallo in the 88th minute. Antonio Tenorio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Baez FC's zone, Rafael Gallo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horacio Jesus Carvallo came out of the goal and Rafael Gallo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
