Rio Pardo MZC's Luís Guilherme Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 25th minute of play. Luís Guilherme Aparecido stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lautaro Mancebo's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Lalatu, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Guilherme Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35thth minute of the game Lautaro Mancebo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rio Pardo MZC's Luís Guilherme Aparecido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 37th minute of play forced Rio Pardo MZC's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Aparecido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 46 minutes, Carlos de Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rio Pardo MZC and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enéas Lago to strike the kick off in the second half. Luís Guilherme Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 56th minute of the match. Luís Guilherme Aparecido made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Felix Luque was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 63 minutes into the match. Penalty! 67 minutes into the match, Rio Pardo MZC's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Aparecido had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Facundo Cadaval. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Rio Pardo MZC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Luís Guilherme Aparecido despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 72nd minute, Alberto Tafalla reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luís Guilherme Aparecido. The goal made the score 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 75th minute of play forced Rio Pardo MZC's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Aparecido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luca Zorita succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-4 in the 75th playminute. Facundo Cadaval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maximiliano Lalatu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Luís Guilherme Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
