Feliberto Oihenarte was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, RØSANEGRA's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Feliberto Oihenarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Feliberto Oihenarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of the match. In the 17th minute of the game Douglas Costa made a throw-in which Rony Gerber played forward. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Feliberto Oihenarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Oihenarte having to interfere. In the 24th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Oihenarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of RØSANEGRA booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Feliberto Oihenarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afonso Proença received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Afonso Proença slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 36th minute. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Feliberto Oihenarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After 42 minutes, Luis Andino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the RØSANEGRA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 47th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Dênis Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Dênis Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leandro Fonseca made a kick off. With a little luck, RØSANEGRA's Feliberto Oihenarte got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of RØSANEGRA booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rony Gerber hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. RØSANEGRA's Feliberto Oihenarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 58th minute of play. With his leg Feliberto Oihenarte managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to RØSANEGRA getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Pedro Lucas hit a great ball. Feliberto Oihenarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Feliberto Oihenarte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 71st minute. Douglas Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Douglas Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute RØSANEGRA were awarded a corner. Dênis Barbosa went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Pedro Lucas managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The supporters of RØSANEGRA booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 83 minutes, Leandro Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RØSANEGRA and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Oihenarte having to interfere.
