Manuel Chagas kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Francisco Seco made a precise shot to the right of Dag Ekström. pianurese's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dag Ekström having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Seco made a kick off. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sidónio Ribas's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Dag Ekström made a huge save. After a rather tough play, pianurese's Gentil Cruz got a free kick in the 69th minute. Joel Caetano got a throw-in 72 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Sidónio Ribas. The audience was convinced that Sidónio Ribas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. pianurese had won after a very even match.
