If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Enéas Lago sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The crowd rose to their feet as Rio Pardo MZC's Enéas Lago slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 2-0 after 20 minutes of play. 22 minutes into the match, Rio Pardo MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Luís Guilherme Aparecido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rio Pardo MZC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Luis Andino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Luís Guilherme Aparecido quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 24th minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Guilherme Aparecido was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 31 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Guilherme Aparecido was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rio Pardo MZC's Luís Guilherme Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of play. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enéas Lago to make the kick off. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Luís Guilherme Aparecido in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Luís Guilherme Aparecido. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enéas Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After 81 played minutes Rio Pardo MZC got a freekick which was hit by Hacı Ali Bedük. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 82nd minute of play forced Rio Pardo MZC's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Aparecido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Ecuador:s Julio Vera showed great skill when he stopped Faruk Nafiz Hayal:s penalty. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Guilherme Aparecido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Luís Guilherme Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 93rd minute of the match.
