Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) De Boedo Vengo's Paul Gheară started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Abelardo Felipo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wawrzyniec Charamut came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Wawrzyniec Charamut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of De Boedo Vengo booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 29 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. 30 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Gheară came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lisandro Roderigo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute, Paul Gheară got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wawrzyniec Charamut came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. De Boedo Vengo's Wawrzyniec Charamut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 44th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Gheară came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lisandro Roderigo in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After having played for 56 minutes, Paul Gheară managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De Boedo Vengo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paul Gheară was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when De Boedo Vengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Aresti didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute, De Boedo Vengo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of De Boedo Vengo booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norbert Chwalkiewicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Andino during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wawrzyniec Charamut having to interfere. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Daniel Zorita sped through De Boedo Vengo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wawrzyniec Charamut. Wawrzyniec Charamut made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 73rd minute. After 78 minutes, Lisandro Roderigo made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute Paul Gheară shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 85 played minutes De Boedo Vengo got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Aresti. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Desiderio Ascencio during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 95 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Chwalkiewicz came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Desiderio Ascencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
