In the 34th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Cristofol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. RÚSTICOS F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. 37 minutes into the match, RÚSTICOS F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Omar Cristofol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. RÚSTICOS F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 40th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Cristofol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Omar Cristofol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The RÚSTICOS F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Omar Cristofol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. RÚSTICOS F.C were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Melchor Eztebe took the corner. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Omar Cristofol however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of RÚSTICOS F.C booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Omar Cristofol. Omar Cristofol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Omar Cristofol made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. 74 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Omar Cristofol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. RÚSTICOS F.C's Omar Cristofol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save RÚSTICOS F.C from getting a goal against them. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than RÚSTICOS F.C throughout the match.
