Eugenio Abeitia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Eugenio Abeitia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baldomero Shantala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Juventud Antoniana's Trayan Davchev in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lobo Lobo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Baldomero Shantala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Juventud Antoniana's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Baldomero Shantala came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Eugenio Abeitia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomero Shantala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Juventud Antoniana's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomero Shantala came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baldomero Shantala was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 58 minute of play. Baldomero Shantala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. A nice corner shot did that Felix Montes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Baldomero Shantala quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Nicasio Demario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juventud Antoniana's Niceto Sadurni was substituted for Lobo Lobo. Juventud Antoniana made a substitution. Ruperto Endira replaced Victor Bentley. In the 69th match minute, Juventud Antoniana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niceto Sadurni to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Agustín Saelices kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Baldomero Shantala. That made the score 1-8 in the 71 minute of play. Trayan Davchev took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-8. In the 80th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the game, Trayan Davchev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-8. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 87th minute of the match, Cristian Sancho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Baldomero Shantala was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baldomero Shantala read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Abeitia in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Juventud Antoniana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bautista Gaceo to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
