Daniel Beckeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexander Carballo during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of GNUSKALLARNA booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 朱骋凡 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Costa Rica were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after GNUSKALLARNA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Tasis took the corner. After taking down the ball on Costa Rica's corner Axel Tasis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and 朱骋凡 quite easily take care of the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Torsten Hammarberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GNUSKALLARNA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when GNUSKALLARNA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torsten Hammarberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 31 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. The audience thought a goal was coming when Villiam Vedholm got free with Benito Sanz in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torsten Hammarberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Beckeman in the 51st minute of play. Hugo Ferrant's late challenge caught a GNUSKALLARNA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Ferrant helped the player get up and apologised. Hugo Ferrant kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Daniel Beckeman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 朱骋凡 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Tasis in the 58th minute. In the 63rd minute, Eliseo Noboa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Timmy Löfgren kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Villiam Vedholm in the 75th minute of play. Costa Rica were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after GNUSKALLARNA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Tasis took the corner. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but 朱骋凡 in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Villiam Vedholm took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Villiam Vedholm in the 85th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Villiam Vedholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Daniel Beckeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. GNUSKALLARNA fully deserved thier win.
