Camilo Salvidor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 15th minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Gabriele Batistuta sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 26th minute of play forced Menchu FC's goalkeeper Camilo Salvidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Salvidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriele Batistuta. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 39th minute of the match. Eliseo Mina struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Camilo Salvidor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabriele Batistuta made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Camilo Salvidor was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Luz Tejedor scored 0-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Camilo Salvidor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Menchu FC made a substitution. Gaston Firmo replaced Uriel Gorri. Camilo Salvidor made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Armando Roland in the 78 minute of the game. The Menchu FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
