Leonas Mažeika made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 5th minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th match minute, Wolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kasım Uluer to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonas Mažeika made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of play. Arnas Užkuraitis struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wolves. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Borys Weyna hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Borys Weyna in the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Nicolás Roche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnas Užkuraitis got free with Julio Vera in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnas Užkuraitis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Arnas Užkuraitis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Arnas Užkuraitis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Leonas Mažeika in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Borys Weyna came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonas Mažeika came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Arnas Užkuraitis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Wolves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasım Uluer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Wolves's Arnas Užkuraitis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Wolves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dovydas Aleknius didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 84th minute. Julio Vera didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Wolves's Nicolás Roche shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicolás Roche in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 89th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Arnas Užkuraitis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ecuador players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Wolves.
