Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Qiao Qing Ying in the 4th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Lilko Timov in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qiao Qing Ying in the 9th minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eloi Ocomardia in the 10th minute of play. Lilko Timov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 13th minute of play. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Qiao Qing Ying went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 20th minute Qiao Qing Ying shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Afşar Şahan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Lilko Timov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 29th minute of play. VN SOKOLI-VARNA's Lilko Timov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save VN SOKOLI-VARNA from getting a goal against them. After 34 minutes VN SOKOLI-VARNA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. A well done corner resulted in Facundo Cadaval drilling the ball in to score 1-2 behind VN SOKOLI-VARNA's goalkeeper. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marian Todorov in the 39th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qiao Qing Ying in the 46th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Qiao Qing Ying stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Qiao Qing Ying tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Lilko Timov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 60th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lilko Timov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eloi Ocomardia in the 66th minute. Lautaro Mancebo scored 2-2 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lilko Timov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lilko Timov came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Eloi Ocomardia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celil Zabit hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Mexico's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
