Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A collision led to Santhiagos Feli Club getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Enzo Pelayo hit a great ball. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santhiagos Feli Club's goalkeeper Baldomero Urbasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 7th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Ganix in the 12th minute of play. Enzo Pelayo kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baldomero Urbasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Felix Montenegro's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Baldomero Urbasa on his right side and into the goal. 21 minutes into the game it was 1-1. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Severo Ganix tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Santhiagos Feli Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Baldomero Urbasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Santhiagos Feli Club's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Baldomero Urbasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Ganix came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Severo Ganix made a kick off. In the 50th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita scored 1-2 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baldomero Urbasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 63 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Ganix came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. In the 75th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Baldomero Urbasa in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baldomero Urbasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Felix Montenegro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 86 minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Acevedo in the 93rd minute of the match. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Santhiagos Feli Club throughout the match.
