Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. Thomas Winfield in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 9th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Carlisle United's Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 11th minute of play. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Carlisle United's goalkeeper Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Russ Blain during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thomas Winfield came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the last second Jonathan Ferrant throw himself and got hold of the ball when 洪振义 in the 36thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 37th minute of the match Carlisle United got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. 洪振义 ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that 洪振义 got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thomas Winfield's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 洪振义, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 48th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. 67 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when 张学友 楚城 came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Thomas Winfield's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Venezuela's attentive Salvador Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Sol Leyburn made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. After 76 played minutes Carlisle United got a freekick which was hit by Sol Leyburn. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 洪振义 in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Andreas Forsberg charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andreas Forsberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Carlisle United getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Andreas Forsberg hit a great ball. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Carlisle United players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
