Sebastian Hellkvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rohan Watson in the 4th minute. Canada were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Inter de Guayaquil FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Koby Wright took the corner. The corner ended in Carter George almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Inter de Guayaquil FC's Sebastian Hellkvist did a great save. A collision led to Canada getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Eric Hill hit a great ball. Jörn Svartengren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jax Williamson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Luka Harris was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. A nice corner shot did that Jakub Ziombkowski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jax Williamson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Inter de Guayaquil FC were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Canada's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Saffet Ataergin took the corner. Saffet Ataergin made a great header on Inter de Guayaquil FC's corner, it was just that Canada's Jax Williamson managed to reach the ball for a save. With an all-out effort, Canada's Sebastian Hellkvist threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Carter George, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jax Williamson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakub Ziombkowski in the 30th minute of the match. Jax Williamson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörn Svartengren, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Luka Harris could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Sebastian Hellkvist made a huge save. Jörn Svartengren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jax Williamson having to make a save. In the 39th minute Jörn Svartengren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jax Williamson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Hellkvist was a little too slow when Koby Wright got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 44th minute Koby Wright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Hellkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Koby Wright stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sebastian Hellkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luka Harris, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. A collision led to Canada getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Luka Harris hit a great ball. Canada made a substitution. Theo Burton replaced Rohan Watson. Alfred John made in the 66th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Luka Harris immediately put the ball in play. Canada's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Éric Cantona 68 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Zé Pedro Baptista was substituted for Lorenzo Acutain. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theo Burton in the 72nd minute of play forced Inter de Guayaquil FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Hellkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Inter de Guayaquil FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Mateusz Giertych hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the match, Canada's Luka Harris sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastian Hellkvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78th minute Theo Burton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Hellkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute Inter de Guayaquil FC were awarded a corner. Saffet Ataergin went to the cornerflag to take it. 82 minutes into the match, Inter de Guayaquil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Edwards came free, but Sebastian Hellkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humberto Barragan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the game, Filip Edwards cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Sebastian Hellkvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Éric Cantona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter de Guayaquil FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Éric Cantona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jax Williamson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute, Éric Cantona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sebastian Hellkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Burton in the 95th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Canada were the better team. Canada's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
