Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carlisle United's goalkeeper Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Camilo Gisbert made in the 14th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Luis Andino immediately put the ball in play. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 20 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 92 minutes, 洪振义 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carlisle United and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Carlisle United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. 洪振义 didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ecuador fully deserved thier win.
