Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Edmundo Espiga started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico Godoi in the 5th minute of play. Bucéfalo FC's Pedro Luís Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Edgard Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the game, Honduras's Sebastian Villa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Luís Montenegro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Romário Passos came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Bucéfalo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romário Passos couldn't finish the play. Edgard Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgard Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bucéfalo FC's Edgard Costa got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute, Sebastian Villa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Sancho during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pedro Luís Montenegro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sebastian Villa went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nico Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Diamantino Ferreira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lautaro Navarro. Diamantino Ferreira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tico Mole made a kick off. In the 54th minute of the game Marquinhos Pitta made a throw-in which Romário Passos played forward. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Tico Mole managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bucéfalo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tico Mole was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Espiga got free with Pedro Luís Montenegro in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thomás Freitas during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Bucéfalo FC booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Espinar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgard Costa was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Bucéfalo FC's Edgard Costa got a free kick in the 75th minute. Bucéfalo FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Edmundo Espiga scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Luís Montenegro, making the score, 2-3. Bucéfalo FC made a substitution. Antônio Ceresso replaced Mazinho Damião. Honduras's Christian Sancho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Marquinhos Pitta in the 87 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nico Godoi in the 95th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honduras played a much better game than Bucéfalo FC and deserved their victory. The Bucéfalo FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
